User-Interface PICAXE

The code for this PICAXE is complex and virtually all program, data and RAM space is used.

This PICAXE has to hold a 'database' of LCD 'screen' configurations, messages, and sensor variable details. In fact the coding of this chip turned into a project in itself and required the construction of a separate ExcelTM Workbook, WeatherMenues4.xls, with the facility to auto-generate PICAXE code (via VBA) for the database 'table' data.

To save space, all messages are made up of word strings, and references to these strings are stored, rather than the strings themselves.

A high-level flow chart for this PICAXE code is shown in the diagram.
